Kissahane Acoustics

We design, treat, measure and tune small rooms for sound: venues, homes, studios and workspaces. The Kissahane listening room is our own, done the same way, and you can come and hear it before you decide.

Small rooms only

Small rooms, where every surface and every speaker position is heard.

We do not take on larger venues: they need more modelling and site work than we offer. We work in only.

Fixed fees per phase

Every package starts from the feasibility audit, which finds out which of three different problems your room has: its acoustics, its sound system or its isolation. Each fee is fixed per phase and agreed in a written proposal once we know the room; the figure shown is where it starts, before . Fees cover our work only: you buy the equipment, materials and installation directly, from whoever you choose.

    What each document holds

What to ask of any consultant’s proposal, ours included, and what such work costs in Lisbon, is in the guide to hiring a consultant.

    How we work

The same principles the listening room was built on, whatever the room.

Our credentials are a room you can visit and guides you can read. The Kissahane listening room was designed, treated, measured and tuned by the same people who would work on yours, and the Learn guides show how, stage by stage.

    Hear it first

Before you commission anything, come and listen. Ask for a free listening session in the Kissahane room, with music of your own choosing: it is the plainest way to judge what treatment, measurement and tuning do, and what we would aim for in your room.

Say so in your enquiry and we will arrange a time with you by email. The session follows the room’s house rules, like any visit.

Each absorber’s tag opens a plot of what it takes in across frequency: the GIK FlexRange 244, first taking in half the sound reaching it at 98 Hz, its half-absorption frequency.
